Google Translate was created in 2006 to break language barriers. It has been working quite productively since then, enabling sublime communications between billions of people as well as businesses.

Google is still working on newer possibilities of how to make Translate more productive, and the latest result is concerning music. Sweden is a country with a significant musical history, and the culture still remains the same today with promises for the morrow. Well, many Swedish talented artists are often kept away from deserving recognition and success.

This is where Google Translate comes in and solely aims to take a Swedish band to a global stage. The world’s first Translate Music Tour starts today!

The Swedish indie pop band Vita Bergen will use Translate to perform their new single “Tänd Ljusen” in three languages: English, French, and Spanish. They will perform on the streets of three European cities: London, Paris, and Madrid.

With the help of Google Translate, Vita Bergen aims to spread Swedish music culture via its cross-European indie pop sound. They are to sing locally adapted songs in front of the public.

Last year, Google Assistant learned to translate an entire sentence at once. Thanks to its shift from phrase-based translation to Google Neural Machine Translation. Now, the tool uses the broader context and figures out the most relevant translation, then rearranges and adjusts to come as close as possible to human speaking with proper grammar.

The updated version of Google Translate provided almost flawless translations of the band’s single in English, French, and Spanish. According to Google, more space for improvements is there for the tool; thus, it will be with exploring and experience based on usage.

Catch up with the release event of Vita Bergen, streaming live on YouTube today at 5 pm CEST. Also, listen to the songs in Swedish (Tänd Ljusen), English (Light the Lights), French (Allumez Les Lumières), and Spanish ((Enciende las Luces).
