TT Games, the studio behind the hugely successful Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, has reportedly canceled several projects. It includes a mobile port of Lego Worlds, a Lego Guardians of the Galaxy game, and others.

Other canceled projects were Lego-based, including a Lego Disney game that would have featured characters and worlds from The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, and other Disney IPs. This game, codenamed ‘Project Marley’, had reportedly been in development for four years before it was canceled. Additionally, ‘Project Cosmic’, a Lego game based on the Guardians of the Galaxy IP, was reportedly in development for 18 months before being scrapped.

According to Nintendolife reports, the cancellation of the Lego Disney game was due to the studio struggling with the direction of the project. TT Games reportedly lost the Funko license to a different studio, which led to the cancellation of a game codenamed Project Rainbow Road. It was expected to feature characters from DC, Looney Tunes, and Stranger Things crossing over.

The cancellations might be due to the stress that the studio staff had while working on Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is said to have impacted negatively on them. It is quite unfortunate, especially for the Lego Guardians of the Galaxy game given the popularity of the Marvel superhero game.

Despite the cancellations, there is allegedly a Mandalorian DLC for The Skywalker Saga in development at TT Games. However, this too could be scrapped shortly if things go worse again.

These cancellations are disappointing for fans who had been looking forward to the release of these games. Yet, it happens frequently for game development studios to postpone projects for a variety of factors, including changes in the company’s direction or the loss of licensing.

TT Games is currently working on various projects, including Mandalorian DLC for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, despite these cancellations. Fans can still look forward to this upcoming DLC and hope that TT Games will continue to create exciting and engaging games in the future.
