A Twitter error is causing many users to receive notifications every time they lose a follower. The problem of notifications could have arisen at the beginning of June. Apparently, for about 9 days, a considerable number of users of the platform are complaining about receiving automatic notifications every time someone stops following them.

However, the notification that you get as a follow-up, so the error is further complicated and many have shown their bewilderment in the social network itself. To many users, these notifications have not sat well with them; However, there are other Internet users who prefer to know when someone stops following them … although not in this way.

It seems that this phenomenon began a few days ago, around June 11. It has only affected some users, but Twitter has not been able to find a solution yet. In fact, a spokesman for Twitter has assured that the company is already working to solve this problem, although it has not yet managed to solve it.

In the case of Twitter, this can only be known through third-party services such as Who Unfollowed Me, Unfollowers or Twitter Counter. Instagram also has similar apps, such as Instafollow or Reports+ for Instagram.

This bug in itself is already quite controversial. Still, the scenario ends up getting even more bitter because the bug adds hints of irony in the messages of the notifications, where it is said that a person began to follow you, when, in fact, what happened is exactly the opposite.

Marie Solis, a copywriter for Vice, said she ran a test by failing to follow someone. As she had learned, she eventually received a notification that Solis was following her, which eventually became a means of “warning” about the severance of the friendship. Vice says several other contributors have tried to replicate the phenomenon, but the bug does not affect everyone.
