Twitter introduces a new feature for users that provides a different view of what’s happening on Twitter through Live 360 Video via Periscope.
Today the Live 360 video is launched and users can check out live, interactive 360 videos from interesting broadcasters and explore what’s happening with them. They will be able to get an inside look with well-known personalities and go behind the scenes at exclusive events, “Alessandro Sabatelli’’, Director 0f AR and VR at Twitter said.
The Live 360 Video is limited to the number of partners for now. Twitter thinks that the new feature will be broadly available for users as it becomes popular on various social sites such as Facebook.
The video marked with Live 360 support will get a special badge so that users can quickly access them when they are being broadcast. Such videos can be viewed or users can move to another video from the current video by simply moving the smartphone or by tapping and swiping on the clip itself to get the full 360-degree effect.
Live 360 gives users a different experience. As Live 360 video not just takes you places that you never visited but also connects users with different people and lets you experience something new with them.
Last month. Twitter updated its iOS and Android apps so that users could launch a live video without having to download the separate Periscope app. Even though, it seems that Periscope is getting more attention than its Vine app.
