Just recently, the world’s richest man announced that it will be changing the Twitter logo by retiring the long iconic bird logo. X.com Now Points to Twitter.com: Elon Musk
In a recent tweet, Elon Musk said “X.com now points to https://twitter.com/. Interim X logo goes live later today.” The tweet affirmed Elon Musk’s commitment to changing the micro-blogging platform and also redirected the https://twitter.com/ domain to X.com.
On Sunday, he said in a series of posts on his account that he’s looking to make the change worldwide as soon as Monday, where he tweeted: “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
Previously, reports have revealed that Musk has already named Twitter’s parent company the X Corporation. Meanwhile, the X symbol is said to be a reference to the X.com company he founded in 1999, a later version of which went on to become PayPal. As it stands the domain has not been changed but the interim X logo has been unveiled and will be officially unveiled later that day, according to the Twitter owner.
