Uber launched the pilot phase of the ‘Uber Plus’, the driver rewards programme, on Wednesday in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
‘Uber Plus’ is an exclusive loyalty rewards programme that would empower Uber’s driver-partners to save up more and get access to rewards.
In this program, points will be earned by the driver-partners over a fixed period of every three months. These points can be accumulated and used to unlock rewards and a series of tiers, where a higher tier would mean access to better rewards.
The tiers made available to a sample group of Uber’s driver-partners in the above mentioned three cities are Blue, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, in the increasing order of level.
We at Uber have always worked towards prioritising the welfare of our driver-partners. Uber Plus is a massive effort in that direction, enabling our driver-partners to garner more savings as a part of their everyday journey, and accomplishing their dreams – Prabhjeet Singh, Head of Cities, Uber India and South Asia
Uber plans to monitor the progress of the programme and evaluate feedback before making Uber Plus available to other cities.
