The release of the latest OnePlus 5T Android smartphone is scheduled for later this week. It is a new variation of the flagship handset launched this summer. Chinese company OnePlus had already confirmed the release of the OnePlus 5T after it was featured in a huge number of rumors.
Surprisingly, the first OnePlus 5T unboxing video was released online several days before the official launch event on the 16th of November.
Possibly, the YouTuber received his OnePlus 5T review unit earlier. He decided to post the unboxing video online a few days earlier. He did remove the video from YouTube soon afterward. OnePlus supposedly didn’t entertain this early revelation.
When it was online, someone downloaded it and made it available on Dailymotion. The OnePlus 5T is exactly the OnePlus device that was rumored about this summer. With a full-screen design and the fingerprint sensor located in the center of the rear panel, the design is quite similar to that of the OnePlus 5 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
The differences between the two OnePlus phones launched this year can easily be spotted in the video. It didn’t reveal any details regarding the specification or the price of the OnePlus 5T, though. A facial recognition front camera, looking quite similar to the iPhone X, can be spotted on OnePlus 5T in the video. Honestly, it’s quite unlikely for any other phone to feature a facial recognition system as sophisticated as the iPhone X. The feature in the OnePlus device shouldn’t be expected to be of that quality.
The OnePlus 5T is mostly the OnePlus 5 dressed in a new 2017 design.
