The Uncharted series may have been finished by Naughty Dog, but Sony appears to be still working on a sequel, maybe Uncharted 5. The next Uncharted may have been teased in a recent PS5 promo.
Sony launched a major advertising campaign today with a “Live From PS5” advertisement that highlighted its titles and a number of PS5 features. But one thing, in particular, drew people’s attention: a brief scene from an unnamed video game. Was that a hint for Uncharted 5 or any other future Uncharted game? Well, Sony made no mention of the game’s title or any other information on its reference to the Uncharted series.
The video shows a young woman carrying a glowing light and moving into a cave. Another clip shows a close-up of the woman finding a little chest. So, It’s possible that Uncharted 5 could be in development considering that no known future PS5 titles have this kind of similarities.
The female character could be Cassie Drake from Uncharted 5, the daughter of the series’ main character Nathan Drake. In Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (thanks to VGC), it is strongly hinted and hinted that Nathan Drake’s daughter will be the series’ lead character moving ahead. After Cassie finds certain relics at the conclusion of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Nathan speaks to her about all his previous experiences. The young character looks to resemble Nathan Drake. However, the video doesn’t include any other hidden hints.
Moreover, there’s a chance that it may be a scene from any other unannounced game that Sony has plans to reveal later. However, since Naughty Dog has previously said that the series is over, there have been rumors that Uncharted may be revived, but obviously not from the original developers.
Fans of action-adventure games and people who like going on treasure hunts should definitely try out the Uncharted games. Though if Uncharted 5 is actually in development, we’ll have to wait till it’s officially revealed before finding any more information.
