Higher educational institutions of the whole world are using the latest cloud technologies in the fields of their education to make it more modified and progressive and to solve the global challenges that everyone faces now. Their aim obviously is to make life a lot easier for people all around the world. Northeastern University and MIT are just two examples among many of the major educational institutions to use the Google Cloud Platform or GCP.
Northeastern University has used the GCP to map the spread of the Zika virus, and MIT is using GCP for theoretical mathematics. Google has expanded their collaboration, and now they have paired with Unizin and Internet2, two higher education organizations, so their members can also benefit from the use of GCP.
A consortium of 25 leading universities working together to improve education with technology, Unizin has announced that their Unizin Data Platform will be built on Google Cloud Platform as a way of understating and helping their students better. The Unizin Data Platform allows institutions to anonymize, aggregate, store, share and analyze teaching and learning data. The member universities of this data platform use this data to identify students who may be at the risk of failing a class, or they use it to personalize the classes so as to improve the overall performance of the entire class.
Building the Unizin Data Platform on the Google Cloud Platform provides our members with scalable infrastructure, powerful data analytics and the ability to leverage machine learning solutions to advance Unizin’s work to improve learning research and outcomes in a highly secure environment. Internet2 has built a collaborative environment for U.S research and education organizations to help them perform better. Internet 2 has announced that no its members can use the Google Cloud Platform to develop solutions according to their particular educational and research needs. The fully validated service will release later this year.
These two new collaborations are kind of like an extended hand to all other institutions so that they will make full use of GCP and build a better educational community.
