When it comes to a slimline smartwatch with a design that sits comfortably on the user’s wrist, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series are super exciting. The smartwatch when released was one of the most favorite smartwatches ever.
The watches come in two models, one with a 40mm watch face and another with a 44mm body. For the first time, the brand featured a wear OS software in the device, with two buttons on the right-hand edge and little else to detract from its sleek looks.
Since then, the company has been gearing up to release an upgraded next-generation smartwatch – the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. As per reports, the next-generation smartwatch is expected to be unveiled before the end of the year, 2022.
However, as we just discovered via a Twitter post from the popular reliable leaker, @stufflistings, it seems the unveiling date of the next-generation smartwatch is around the corner, as it was spotted on the FCC website for verification.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Specifications Reveal on FCC Website
The next-generation smartwatch Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 has been sighted on the FCC website, with the EP-OR900 product number disclosing the wearable charging specifications.
According to the FCC database leak, the upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 is expected to feature a 5W output charging.
The wireless charger could be a reference to the watch’s charging base, which should be comparable to what we’ve seen on previous Watch 4 and Watch 3 models.
It is currently being tested at a charging speed of 5W. However, considering Samsung’s track record, we believe the Galaxy Watch 5 series will also use a 5W charging speed. Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and the Watch 4 Classic from the previous generation of Galaxy Watches allow 5W charging.
Apart from this, the website didn’t provide any specifications for the upcoming smartwatch. Although Samsung is also rumoured to be preparing to remove the much-loved clicky rotating bezel, no confirmation has been given. The Galaxy Watch 5 series, as well as the next-generation foldable, are slated to debut during an Unpacked event in August. Stay connected with TechGenyz for more updates on the upcoming smartwatch.
