Several users have been expressing dissatisfaction over problems of video playback and sky replacement of the MIUI, a modified Android ROM developed by Xiaomi for its smartphones.
As this complaint keeps persisting, the smartphone giant has announced the formation of a dedicated team to optimize video playback problems.
An announcement was made about a special online event hosted by Xiaomi where several senior MIUI development team members replied to user comments regarding various difficulties with the shell.
According to several users, the MIUI Gallery video playback function appears to be broken. When you pause playback in some cases, the video crashes, and the user is directed to the main gallery folder. The download times for the videos are also said to be excessive.
In this regard, users have stated their desire for Xiaomi to include a gesture control feature in the playback process. Xiaomi has stated that it will discuss this internally.
In addition, users have proposed not uploading personal photographs to the cloud to better secure user data security in private photo albums. This update has already been done, according to Xiaomi.
Moreover, the sky detection and replacement function, which is one of the MIUI shell’s features, does not operate in various instances.
The Chinese designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics and related software, Xiaomi, however, stated that the function’s developers are working to improve its accuracy in determining the sky’s borders.
