As you know, AR technology (Augmented Reality) is becoming increasingly a concern not only for consumers but it also encourages the development of new AR-based applications such as ARCore, Ikea Place and some games such as Pokemon Go and more. Vivo augmented reality glasses comes pre-installed with the support of Jovi’s personal assistant. The user base Jovi, according to official data, already exceeds 150 million people.

In the MWC Shanghai 2019 event, Vivo presents an AR perspective that will change the way we interact in the 5G era. Through 5G connections, latency and connections will be better then this opportunity is taken by Vivo to feature AR applications in real-time through the glasses.

The glasses from Vivo are built with two screen displays with 6DOF technology. After these glasses are connected to the smartphone, the user can experience the experience through various applications available. Among the apps currently featured by Vivo are Mobile Office, AR Games, 3D HD video, 5G Theater, face recognition, and object recognition.

Vivo AR Glass

AR glasses from Vivo will emit a display and the smartphone will be used as a control device. From here users can switch apps to applications according to their wishes. Smartphones will also work as game consoles.

However, this AR from Vivo’s glasses is not yet in its final form as it is still under construction and prototype. It comes with a futuristic design, like the 3D glasses used in the cinema and on top there is a speaker. Hopefully, they will research and consider the glassed user to experience AR.

In addition, Vivo AR glasses are equipped with three cameras, two depth sensors, and one RGB sensor. They connect to the smartphone via a USB-C connector. To interact with the device, users can control with the eyes, although this method is still slow, or use the phone to type, select, etc., looking at the screens with glasses.

Vivo AR glasses can be used for augmented reality games or for viewing the 3D video. Points also allow you to work in office applications, for example, to check your email in augmented reality. Vivo says that AR glasses will also be able to display information about the people you meet.
