A new Vivo model around the corner. Vivo V1816A appeared on the Geekbench site which received 3C certification.
From the detailed information given on the site, it is clear that the Vivo V1816A smartphone submitted to Geekbench is fitted with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC as the main processor. Vivo X21 UD, Vivo X21, and Vivo X20 Plus UD are the high-end phones from the company that is driven by the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
It is an octa-core chipset that clocks 1.84GHz and the RAM support is worth 8GB. Vivo is still stuck with the Android Oreo version 8.1 as the operating system on this phone. From the benchmarking perspective, the scores for single core and multi-core have been 1448 and 5553 respectively.
The new model as identified V1816A will be slotted in the mid-segment since the battery charging support for 5V/2A is indicated from the CCC website. This could form the trend with the company to shift some of the top specs to the mid-segment and gain on the market share offering better value for money to the customers.
The other devices soon to launch in the markets of China are The Vivo V1818 (A/T) and the Vivo V1816A.
