Vivo has finally entered the Indian market with its latest flagship smartphone – the Vivo X90 series. The mobile brand had earlier launched the device in China, which includes the Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro, and Vivo X90 Pro+.
In India, however, the company launched the smartphones in two line-ups – the Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90. The launch event started at exactly 12 pm today, April 26, and was streamed live via the company’s social media handles and YouTube page.
The Vivo X90 Series
Unlike the Chinese variant, the Vivo X90 series include the vanilla Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro although they share compatible features. Like the Chinese models, the smartphones support different connectivity options which include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
Both Vivo X90 series feature an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, stereo speakers, aptX HD, and Hi-Res audio. Also, the Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset paired with Immortalis-G715 and run Android 13 OS with FunTouch OS 13 on top.

Vivo X90 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution. To enhance users’ experience, the smartphone packs a 4,810mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support.
For optical, the comes with triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP IMX866 primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, OIS, EIS, and LED flash, a 12MP portrait sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.0 aperture. There is a 32MP snapper on the front with f/2.45 for selfies and video calls.

On the other hand, the Vivo X90 Pro has the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display but with 2K resolution. There is a 120Hz refresh rate, punch-hole cutout, 20:9 aspect ratio, 452 PPI, 2160 Hz PWM, HDR10+, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution.
The device also has triple cameras on the back, with a 50MP IMX866 primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture OIS, EIS, and LED flash, a 50MP portrait sensor with f/1.6 aperture and 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, there is a 32MP snapper on the front.
The Vivo X90 Pro has a larger 4,870mAh battery with the same 120W fast charging support.
Pricing and Availability
The 8GB + 256GB of the Vivo X90 goes official for a starting price of ₹59,999. While the 12GB + 256GB is priced at ₹63999. Meanwhile, the Vivo X90 Pro comes in a single variant of 12GB + 256GB and is priced at ₹84,999.
The Vivo X90 series comes in different colors of Breeze Blue, Asteroid Black, Ice Blue, and Red options. According to the mobile brand, they will go on sale on Flipkart as a microsite for the same has already gone live on the retailer’s website.
