Following multiple rumors and specification leaks, Vivo’s Executive Vice President, Hu Boshan, reportedly announced that Vivo’s tablet would hit the market in the first half of 2022 to keep up with their mobile phone productions.
More information about Vivo’s first tablet keeps surfacing online as the launch date draws nearer. In the most recent development, reports coming to Techgenyz today from Digital Chat Station, a tech blogger, revealed some specifications and details of the soon-to-be-launched tablet. According to the source, specifications on the new Vivo tablet include a 2.5K screen, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 120 Hz high-speed browsing, and a dual camera with 13MP at the rear.
Completely encased in metal, the Vivo’s first tablet will not support fingerprint recognition, with two speakers at the top and bottom of the frame, plus a matching keyboard and stylus. According to the Vice President, the company aims to open up the multi-terminal interconnection ecology through the product.
Meanwhile, previous revelations on the Vivo tablet showed that it operates with the Shen U Snapdragon 870 and a built-in 7860 mAg capacity battery. The tablet also has a multi-terminal interconnection system and supports 44W fast charging. Per the pricing, speculations are that the tablet is within the range of 2,000 Yuan.
At the moment of this reporting, it is unclear when the tablet will hit the market. Asides from Vivo, its sub-band iQOO is also planning to launch a tablet this year. Moreover, reports also say that OPPO and OnePlus intend to launch tablet products this year.
With the specifications of the soon-to-be-launched tablet, Vivo is likely to rival market bigwigs like Xiaomi and Lenovo, which are currently prominent in China’s tablet market. In all, 2022 looks to be an exciting year for the Android tablet market.
