In a bid to fix bugs and security, Apple has begun issuing beta firmware updates for the Studio Display.
The beta firmware update brings the software of the monitor up to version 16.4.
The beta update was first discovered late Friday night as users of the macOS Ventura 13.3 beta can install the update to a connected Studio Display.
The beta firmware update is now available for Mac users who are using the beta of macOS Ventura 13.3, and not non-beta versions.
As per the report, the firmware beta update comes with version 16.4 of the software running the display, and it is 641.4MB in size. Although Apple is yet to release the exact details.
AppleInsider reported that the firmware beta handles bugs, fixes security and increases compatibility with the newest Apple releases, and possibly performance improvements.
Studio Display owners who are beta users can update their firmware to the beta version by heading to System Settings on their Mac, followed by Software Update, to see if it is available to be installed.
