Nikkei reported that Apple is in talks with suppliers to make MacBooks in Thailand.
The development is part of the company's ongoing efforts to expand its manufacturing presence beyond China.
Recall that last year, Apple and its key suppliers have been shifting production away from China, where state ict COVID-19 curbs disrupted Foxconn's biggest iPhone factory.
Currently, the discussion is ongoing on possible assembly and production of components and modules for MacBooks, Apple told Nikkei.
For more than a year now, the American tech giant has also been mass-producing its Apple Watch in the country.
