A US court dismissed an antitrust lawsuit against Facebook-owned apps Instagram and WhatsApp by photo app developer Meta.
Meta accused Instagram and WhatsApp of harming its photo app business through anticompetitive behavior.
The court ruled that Meta did not provide sufficient evidence for its claims and failed to demonstrate actual harm caused by Instagram and WhatsApp's conduct.
The court also stated that Instagram and WhatsApp are not required to make their platforms or data accessible to competitors.
The ruling is a setback for Meta, which has been facing increased regulatory scrutiny over allegations of anticompetitive behavior and privacy concerns.
