According to Elon Musk’s microblogging website, the discontinuation will end support for both v1.1 and v2 Twitter API.

However, a new paid version will be launched as it looks for more avenues to monetize the platform.
The move follows Twitter abruptly changing the terms of its API in recent weeks that was used by many popular Twitter clients such as Tweetbot and Twitterrific.
Since Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion in late October, the platform has been introducing new features.
