New WhatsApp update version 2.25.1.27. This version is supposed to roll out soon in the Google Play Beta Program. Here are all the things you need to know about this new update.
Dedicated AI-powered Tab
The all new WhatsApp update is set to feature a dedicated tab for AI-powered chats. This new tab shall allow users to quickly access AI-powered chats directly from the bottom navigation bar, enhancing the process of exploring and interacting with AI tools.
They shall also make AI-powered chats more accessible and efficient by introducing new features that are designed to enhance access. They are also working on implementing a widget to access Meta AI.
Accessibility from the Home Screen
There are also rumors that with the upcoming update, users will be able to access Meta AI right from their Home Screens. This new widget will be totally optional and will appear alongside other widgets WhatsApp offers.
However, users have to keep in mind that this feature will only be available to accounts that already have access to AI-powered chats. Since Meta AI is still limited to certain regions and users, not everyone will get this widget right off the bat. For example, it’s unavailable in the EU due to local laws and regulations.
Usage of the Widget
With the help of this widget, the users will be able to ask questions, get help, or chat with Meta AI however they wish to do so. Furthermore, this update shall also include a quick shortcut to snap a photo and send it directly to Meta AI. Once that’s done, users will be able to ask the AI to edit the image, explain what’s in it, or answer any questions they might have about the photo.
A form of Variant
This shall be noted as a variant of Google lens but shall offer more details about what’s in the image. However, WhatsApp’s feature is still in the works and will be rolled out in a future update.
Other features
Reports claim that in other WhatsApp updates, the introduction of a simpler and streamlined way to create groups and communities can take place. Furthermore, they are also working on installing a new “Chat with us” feature which shall make getting human support faster through its web app.
