In a bid to enrich users’ experience on its platform, the American social media service WhatsApp has officially announced the rolling out of a new exciting feature that allows Windows beta users to create polls while on the platform.

The WhatsApp create polls feature is rolling out under WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2246.2.0 and is marked as a compatible update. The feature has been released to some users and will be rolling out to even more people over the coming days.

WhatsApp Create Polls on Windows Beta

As a Windows Beta user, click the attach icon next to the chat bar to create a poll. A poll shortcut will appear, and clicking it will open the view in this screenshot. You may add up to 12 options to the poll, and it is always end-to-end encrypted so that only other people in the same chat can read and reply to it, much like on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, and desktop.

The most exciting of all is that the creating poll feature is available for both individual and group chats. By just pressing on the accessible option of their choice, users can start a poll and vote in other people’s polls. You can choose from any of the alternatives provided, as well as from a number of them or all of them, depending on the poll.

However, it should be called that a few months ago, reports revealed some new features were released to some users after installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2242.0.0 update, including shortcuts, online status, and polls. Unfortunately, the ability to create was not possible, but one could at least view and vote for polls created by other group participants. Finally, today WhatsApp has released the ability to create polls to some beta testers.
