WhatsApp can be dubbed as one of the best instant messaging applications all around the globe. The Meta-owned platform keeps experimenting with new features to enhance the user experience. Recently, the service has shifted its focus more towards offering secure and private messaging to people, along with multiple ways to connect on video and voice calls.
In a recent development, WhatsApp is now introducing a series of new features that will make the connectivity on the platform smoother than ever.
New features for WhatsApp group calls
● Starting from now on, you can have a video call or a voice call with around 32 people at a single time. WhatsApp has increased its capacity by four times, considering that the previous number was 8 people.
● If you long press on a participant’s tab on the calls, then it will simply allow you to mute or message that particular person without disconnecting the calls.
● You can also share the call links easily by just sharing the link of the call with the people you want on the call.
Not only this, but WhatsApp has also rolled out some functional changes for a super-smooth experience while using the application. Here we have also listed down the functional changes we will get to see on WhatsApp.
- Now you will be able to see who is speaking even if their camera is off because WhatsApp will show colored waveforms.
- As soon as someone new joins the group call, you will get an in-call banner notification.
- All the iOs users will get the Picture-in-Picture mode in 2023, which will help them multitask while being on WhatsApp group calls.
As of now, these are the changes that have been mentioned by the Meta-owned instant messaging platform. We already know that a lot of features are still in the pipeline and could make their debut for the beta version at any time.
