WhatsApp has 3 new updates for the devices with three major operating systems, iOS, Android, and Windows. respectively, these updates are regarding voice messages, video calls, and stickers.

On an inceptive note, the 2.18.10 iOS update for WhatsApp has loads of improvements, most importantly concerning voice messages. Now you can listen to your WhatsApp voice messages on your iPhone before sending it. Previously, it wasn’t possible, and neither was it possible to keep recording while rejecting a new incoming call.

While developing on these issues, WhatsApp’s new update for iOS also enables users to save voice messages to the local server. This is perhaps the most exciting improvement as it gets you an unfinished recorded message in case you lost it because of incoming calls or a sudden shutdown of the app or phone! Further, you can change chats in the middle of your recording without having to lose it. This will also be rolled out to Android and Windows phones in later updates.

Next is the Android update 2.18.4 that was released by WhatsApp, and it has a video call switch button for you! Tapping that button in an ongoing voice call will take you to a video call right then and there. The recipient will receive a request from the social media platform for the transition, affirming that the WhatsApp video call will be established. If the recipient rejects the request, then the voice call will continue.

The convenience brought by the company makes them accomplish the objective to ‘save time for the users. This feature has already been reported by the users having Android 6.0 and above. Force closing the app via task manager and trying again will get you the feature in case it hasn’t appeared on your Android phone yet. The recipient must have a phone that supports video calls, or the button is not likely to appear.

Last but not least, we have a 2.18.2 Windows update of WhatsApp, although presently in beta. There are not many visible changes, but one new feature that’s hidden is stickers. Now, as a Windows user, you will have a new tab in the emoji section next to GIF for enjoying interactions with stickers. You will also have a starred button and a recent button which will make things more organized for you to access your favorite and recently sent stickers. Remember folks, this isn’t out yet for users but the company is expected to roll it out soon and we are keeping a tab for you to serve the update hot.

Well, that sums up the latest updates of the instant messaging app and it looks like we are to enjoy more convenience irrespective of differences in OS usage, which is altogether pretty cool! Stay with us for more updates.
