The latest update of WhatsApp has confirmed that the users can now benefit from all the new disappearing message features and dark mode features.
Previously, this October it was rumored that WhatsApp is working on disappearing messages. As the name of the feature suggests, it self-destructs messages after a certain period of time set by the user. WhatsApp beta version 2.19.348 for Android update shows the disappearing messages feature which has now been renamed to ‘Delete Messages’, as per WABetaInfo.
The feature is available in Group Settings or Contact Info and can be enabled by administrators only. As reported, this feature is still under development and hence users won’t be able to see it even after updating to the latest beta.
The new feature on WhatsApp, ‘Delete Messages’ brings the ability to choose how long new messages will last before they are deleted. Options that include are one hour, one day, one week, one month, and one year.
Moreover, this Delete Messages feature has also been employed in Dark Mode. WhatsApp dark mode is anticipated to roll out anytime soon as the feature is almost ready. WhatsApp is in fact quite late to bring this feature onboard.
