Microsoft Paint was everyone’s childhood playground since the 1980s, and everyone enjoyed it a lot. But now, it might be deprecated after 32 years.
The new update for Microsoft Windows 10, called Autumn, can bring one of the oldest features of Microsoft Windows to an end. The paint came into our machines with the release of Microsoft Windows 1.0 in 1985 and became an important part of windows. It was one of the graphics editors.
Microsoft listed Paint under “features that are removed or deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update” along with Outlook Express, Reader App, and Reading List. Being on this list tends to no development is going on for these Apps, and they might be discontinued in the near future. The paint was widely used for its limited capabilities. The Paint for Windows 7 and later got some improved features, but it never was a competitor for other free options available in the market.
The official deprecated date for Paint has not been announced as the release date for the Microsoft Windows 10 Autumn Update is not finalized yet. We all are waiting for the day when one of the oldest apps will be out of support.
