Today, the American multinational technology company Microsoft has revealed that its Windows 10 21H1 will reach the end of service (EOS) by the 13th of December this year. With this end of service, the 10 21H1 Windows will no longer receive security or any other updates. Therefore, the firm advises all Windows version users to upgrade to the latest release to stay protected against attacks on future vulnerabilities.

“Windows 10 21H1 is about to reach its end of service (EOS) on December 13, 2022, which means it will no longer receive security updates. If you are still one of those using this Windows version, it is time to upgrade to the latest release to stay protected against attacks on future vulnerabilities that will no longer be patched in the coming months.”
However, Microsoft further explains the importance of Windows UpdateWhatsapp Rolls Out Ios, Android and Windows Updates: Enables Switch to Video Call and More as it will automatically launch a feature to help keep users’ devices safe and productive.
“To help keep you protected and productive, Windows Update will automatically initiate a feature update for Windows 10 consumer devices and non-managed business devices that are at, or within several months of reaching the end of servicing,” Microsoft said. “This keeps your device supported and receiving monthly updates that are critical to security and ecosystem health. For these devices, you will be able to choose a convenient time for your device to restart and complete the update.”
End of Service to Affect All Windows 10 21H1 Editions
Meanwhile, according to the firm, next month’s end of service will affect all the editions of Windows 10 21H1, which includes Windows 10 Enterprise, version 21H1; Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, version 21H1; Windows 10 Education, version 21H1; Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, version 21H1; Windows 10 Home, version 21H1; Windows 10 Pro, version 21H1; Windows 10 Pro Education, version 21H1; and Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, version 21H1.

Consequently, all affected users must upgrade to Windows 11 or obtain the most recent version of Windows 10 before the deadline. Users of Windows 10 who are running version 20H2 or later can see if the Windows 10 22H2 (Windows 10 2022 Update) is already installed on their computer by navigating to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
However, it should be recalled that back in October this year, Microsoft announced the beginning of its release, and all eligible devices should be receiving it right now. Although a Windows 10 machine will gain a new version number, there won’t be any significant additions because Microsoft is now focusing on Windows 11 instead of feature drops.
