The are many who believe that Microsoft will make Windows 10 S the default version of Windows. It was assumed as the company, mostly targeted education and front-line workers in Enterprise, with those in the need being able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. But a recent bug bash for the next update to Windows 10 shows that Windows 10 S unlocks to Windows 10 Home – i.e. it is coming.
It is done to make sure that when Windows rolls out a new OS, it should work properly without a hassle. The new update is free from any glitches although Microsoft does not want to sell the Windows 10 S as a stand-alone version. The new 10S would live on as a sort of function for the normal Windows edition and provide some of the features of Windows 8 as an option in normal Windows versions.
Microsoft begins each iteration of its milestone by trying to fix a few last-minute bugs and glitches from the previous version. The last phase of this process is the bug bash and the software giant trying to fix all the bugs and glitches found by its insider beta tester in the imminent release.
The new Windows 10S is designed mainly for students and to take on Chrome books and Chrome OS. This is not a lite version of Windows 10 but it functions in the same way. We should not forget that this version also has downsides as well and the important one being users will not be able to alter their default browser. Windows 10 S kicked off on February 2, 2018, which comes at a cost of $49 or nearly 3143 INR for an upgrade to the new OS. If we take the market share the latest version has already surpassed Windows 7.
