Xiaomi 13 Lite, Redmi Note 12 4G Get TDRA Certification, Launch Imminent

Xiaomi is all set to launch its next-gen smartphone – the Xiaomi 13 series in the global market on February 27 at the upcoming MWC 2023 in Spain. Ahead of the world’s most influential tech show – the Xiaomi 13 Lite and Redmi Note 12 4G has been reported to receive the TDRA certification.

The leaked certification shows that the duo’s upcoming smartphone is set for launch. Previously, the Redmi Note 12 4G was leaked with Snapdragon 680 processor, while the Xiaomi 13 Lite is said to be a rebadged version of the Xiaomi Civi 2. Now, let’s take a tour of the upcoming smartphones.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite

The Xiaomi 13 Lite is one and the latest edition of the Xiaomi 13 series that was first introduced in China last year, which includes the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. The smartphone appears to be a rebadged version of the Xiaomi Civi 2, which was launched in China last year.

As per the report, the device is expected to share myriad similarities with the Xiaomi Civi 2, including its design and specifications, as claimed by the Google Play Console listing. The Xiaomi 13 Lite is likely to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor. As for the battery, it could have a capacity of 4500mAh.

The 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen on the Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphone is most likely to have a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The panel is anticipated to support HDR10+ and have a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming technology will also be supported.

Xiaomi’s 13 Lite is anticipated to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 CPU with an Adreno 662 GPU inside. Moreover, it can have 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The smartphone is anticipated to be powered by MIUI 13, an Android 12-based UI.

The forthcoming smartphone is anticipated to feature fast charging up to 67W. A 50MP rear camera with a Sony IMX766 sensor, an f/1.8 aperture, and an LED flash is said to be the centre of the device’s triple camera system. The other two rear cameras are anticipated to be a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a 20MP ultrawide-angle lens with a 115-degree field of view. A 32MP front-facing camera is reportedly present.

The Redmi Note 12 4G

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 12 comprises four models namely, Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. The Redmi Note 12 4G was previously leaked with Snapdragon 680 processor based on the SM6225 Pro.

In terms of display, the Redmi Note 12 4G is expected to come with 6.67 inches (16.94 cm); AMOLED, 1080×2400 px (395 PPI), Gorilla Glass 3 Protection and Bezel-less. A 5000 mAh battery with 33W Fast Charging; and a USB Type-C port will power the device.

For the optical, the Redmi Note 12 4G featured a triple camera setup of a 48 MP Wide angle primary camera, 8 MP Ultra-Wide angle camera and 2 MP macro camera. For selfie and video recording a 13 MP Wide Angle Lens of screen flash and full HD @30 fps equip the front camera.
