The Chinese designer and manufacturer company Xiaomi has announced its 35th adjustment this year in order to reduce the burden on the international business department to reorganize. The report has also revealed that Xiaomi founder Lei Jun has withdrawn from key positions in many affiliated companies.
latest reported that Xiaomi staff received the 35th internal letter of the year on December 10 to change organizational structure and personnel appointments. This figure has surpassed 2020.
Lei Jun had earlier handed up a business that he directly oversaw, the business middle office department, in charge of Xiaomi’s digitization and data asset building and operation.
This department has reportedly been integrated into the Group’s Information Technology Department, with its head reporting to Xiaomi President Wang Xiang. This is Lei Jun’s third business that he has turned over in the last month.
Youpin’s e-commerce and software and experience departments are the other two. They’ve been combined into the China region and the mobile phone division.
Following the restructuring, seven executives now report directly to Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, and are responsible for the design, production, sales, and long-term realization of Xiaomi’s core business-mobile phones and IoT (Internet of Things) products.
Xiaomi has also reorganized its international business department, segmenting the overseas sales regions by region, the international network-wide e-commerce sales department, the operator and business development department by channels, and the Indian business development which was not previously an international business department.
The regional operations department, as well as many other departments, have been combined into the international “sales department,” opening up new regions and channels, and Xiang Zheng is in charge of reporting to Lu Weibing, president of the international business department.
