Mi 8 SE smartphone was launched in May 2018 in China. Mi 8 SE, which is an affordable variant of flagship Mi 8 Series, comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner; 3D face unlocks feature and a transparent back. Now, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s network information shows that Xiaomi 8 SE has improved its configuration.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology claims that the Xiaomi 8 SE mobile phone appears to add an 8GB version of storage with 13 color matching models. In addition to the 8GB version of the storage, the rest of the other configuration is kept as same; as the Xiaomi 8 SE standard.
Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is slightly different from Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Regarding specs, it gets a smaller 5.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a notch on top of the bezel-less screen. Mi 8 SE is the first smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. It is to be available in two storage variants – 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 6GB RAM+64GB storage. The phone is backed by a 3,120mAh battery.
On the front camera, the Mi 8 SE sports dual AI-backed 12MP+5MP rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture. It comes with portrait mode, HDR mode, panorama mode and facial recognition with 20MP lens powered by AI on the front. The novelty runs on MIUI 10, based on Android Oreo.
As for the other features it includes Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and USB OTG on the other hand sensors on the phone include Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.
