Earlier this year, Xiaomi, after launching the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi TV 4 for Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 39,999 respectively, decided to increase the prices of these two products it seems that they’re now walking on the same steps with these recently launched products.
According to the Twitter post due to the Rupee value against the Dollar depreciating by almost 15% since the beginning of the year, Xiaomi has to incur an increase in input cost which has resulted in an increase of selling prices for a few products when compared to their launch prices.
The Redmi 6A (2 GB RAM + 16 GB) which was available at a launch price of Rs. 5,999 will now come in Rs. 6,599 while the price of the 2 GB + 32 GB option has been increased by Rs. 500 resulting in the new selling price being Rs. 7,499.
The Redmi 6 will now retail for Rs. 8,499 instead of the Rs. 7,999 launch price. The Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 and 4A Pro 49 will now be sold for Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 31,999 respectively which is Rs. 1000 and Rs. 2000.
