Xiaomi is coming up with its first smartphone dedicated to gaming under the new brand named ‘Blackshark.’ The phone is named Xiaomi Blackshark SKR A0 and has appeared on Geekbench recently, revealing several basic specs.
It’s worth mentioning that a few months ago, there were reports circulating that Xiaomi acquired a stake in Blackshark. Since then, it has been believed that the Chinese brand is preparing to launch the first Blackshark smartphone. One such phone came up in AnTuTu’s database in the last month, packing attractive features.
Now, the specs found in AnTuTu match the ones displayed in Geekbench. Accordingly, the device packs 8GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 clocked at 1.77GHz, and Android 8.0 Oreo as OS.
The internal storage may be either 128 GB or 256 GB. Also, the OS could be stock Android or Xiaomi’s custom MIUI based on Oreo. The handset scored a whopping 8452 in multi-core and 2452 in single-core on Geekbench, topping the Snapdragon 845 version of Samsung Galaxy S9+ (8351 and 2422).
Additionally, we came across reports that Blackshark SKR-A0 will ship with an aviation-class cooling system that’ll lead to enhanced performance while lowering CPU and GPU throttling.
