On September 27, 2021, Xiaomi held a product launch event where the Chinese tech giant introduced a new mobile phone, the Xiaomi Civi series. The company is emphasizing the phone’s pleasing appearance.
The Xiaomi Civi features a 6.55-inches double-curved display screen encased within narrow bezels, with the lower frame only 2.55mm wide. The display offers a resolution of 2400x 1080 pixels, and its refresh rate is clocked at 120Hz. The display also comes with integrated HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.
As for the back of the smartphone, the company introduced the velvet AG process, which feels smooth to touch and gives a nice shine. On the other hand, the pink version of the smartphone comes with a fluffy texture on its back.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes with the latest Snapdragon 778G processor and the Adreno642L GPU graphics card. Another important aspect of the smartphone is the addition of three major acceleration artifacts, including full storage system acceleration, memory fusion acceleration, and strong acceleration of defragmentation. Although the smartphone is very thin and light, Xiaomi has taken precautions not to compromise on the battery performance, and as such, the smartphone will be powered by a 4500mAh battery, and it supports 55W fast charging.
The back of the Xiaomi Civi features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. As for the selfie camera, it is 32MP and it supports AF autofocus+. For vlog enthusiasts, Xiaomi has added a built-in 14 kinds of Vlog templates armed with automatic conversion.
The Xiaomi Civi will be offered in three memory variants: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB priced at 2599 yuan, 2899 yuan, and 3199 yuan, respectively. Moreover, the smartphone will be available in three colors: sparkling black, light blue, and pounding.
