A few months ago, Xiaomi launched Amazfit Smartwatch 2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500, and now, it is speculated that Xiaomi is about to launch its first smartwatch product.
As speculated, the Xiaomi brand’s first smartwatch will be equipped with a fairly inexpensive chip, which is most likely to be Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 wearable chip.
As for the chip, Qualcomm optimizes battery performance and extends its life by 14 percent compared to the previous generation, which is 14% longer than the Snapdragon Wear 2100.
The Snapdragon Wear 2500 also supports PMIC, RFFE, GPS, Bluetooth, and other functions, while optimizing CPU and modem software, reducing the size by 38%, and compactly integrating a variety of devices into the platform.
You might wonder why this is called the first smartwatch product. It is because the Mi Band is not considered as a smartwatch, as they do not have the main features that distinguish them from others.
As for the other specifications, it would come with the NFC for payments, the presence of pre-optimized algorithms, a GPS location service with low energy consumption and of course, a fifth-generation LTE 4G modem, which will allow the watch to connect to the smartphone to answer or make calls.
As for the pricing, it is expected that the smartwatch will not exceed 1299RMB that is to be released sometime in October.
