After the success of its first notebook, Xiaomi, the Chinese company launches its 15.6-inch variant, with more features and better configuration. The notebook comes with an 8th generation Intel core processor and a full keypad with number pad. Here’s all you need to know about the new notebook.
Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched the Mi Notebook Pro laptop alongside its gaming laptop at ChinaJoy 2018. Designed for working professionals, the laptop carries some high-end hardware that comes wrapped in a premium design. On the 20th August, Gizchina cited posters that announced that the company was planning to launch a new laptop in China on August 23.
The new Mi Notebook features a gorgeous 15.6-inch HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. What’s more, they have 178-degree viewing angles, which is literally jaw-dropping. As already mentioned, this laptop runs on the 8th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and a powerful NVIDIA GeForce MX110 2GB RAM GPU. Relying on what the brand claims, it is great for image processing and handle gaming performance. New in this notebook is a full-sized keyboard with a 1.5mm keystrokes and a dedicated number pad, complete with keys for the calculator, browser, and scroll lock.
In regard to connectivity, the Mi Notebook comes with a 3-in-1 card reader, 1x USB 2.0, 1x Gigabit Ethernet port, 1x HDMI port, 2x USB 3.0 port, and a headphone jack. The laptop offers two 3W speakers and Dolby Audio surround sound technology to deliver an immersive media experience. The notebook also comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office and Xiaomi’s sync assistant.
This exciting device is already available for pre-orders in China priced at the moderate 3,999 yuan (Rs 40,800 in Indian currency approximately) for the base variant with an 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB solid state drive, 1TB hard disk, and a GeForce MX110 GPU. The middle variant is priced at 4,499 yuan (Rs.45,900 approx.) and comes with an Intel Core i5 8th Gen processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB solid state drive, 1TB hard disk drive, and a GeForce MX110 GPU. The best available configuration comes with an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB solid state drive, 1TB hard disk drive, and GeForce MX110 GPU.
It will cost 4,999 yuan (Rs.51,000 approx.). Customers in China will get the notebook in two colors: deep gray and white. Considering the recent trend of colorful notebook models, the choice of merely two colors is a little upsetting. However, with features and configuration like this, the notebook is bound to sway the tech market when it goes up on sale for the first time at 10 AM on 28th August, in China.
