Xiaomi has finally started distributing the final stable version of the MIUI 12, based on the Android 11 operating system. Xiaomi’s two flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, will be the ones to get the new stable version update.
The latest update version is termed MIUI 12.2.2.0 RJBCNXM and is fairly large in size, at 3GB.
Xiaomi has offered the first stable beta of Android 11 for the smartphone Xiaomi Mi 10 months ago and finally decided to release the stable version OS for the smartphones two months after.
At this moment, the Chinese smartphone giant released the stable version meant for the Chinese market only; however, the users who are interested in downloading the latest update could also choose to do so manually. All the details regarding the new update, installation instructions, and download link could be found on Xiaomi’s page.
Although only two of Xiaomi smartphones will receive the Android 11 update now, this does not mean that the update will only be limited to only those two smartphones.
According to the news report, Xiaomi is already testing the new update on various other Xiaomi smartphones. Likewise, Xiaomi has also published a list of Xiaomi models that will receive the update. On the other hand, the developers also have listed the smartphones that will not receive the final version of Android 11.
The leader of Xiaomi Lei Jun (Lei Jun) said that for now, those who wish can still purchase the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, but there are very few smartphones left from that edition.
There was also news of the Xiaomi Mi 10 smartphones’ discontinuation as it began to disappear from stores. Additionally, Xiaomi will soon develop a new smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 11, presumably in January 2021.
