Xiaomi announced on its official Weibo account that the Xiaomi Mi 11 will launch on December 28th, 2020.
The one thing that should be taken note of here is that the Mi 11 is one of the first few models to come with the recently launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Although Xiaomi has not mentioned anything about the Pro version of the smartphone; however, going by the history that Xiaomi launch events generally possess, Mi 11 Pro could also be launched alongside the Mi 11.
At the very outset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2020 that was held earlier this month confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 11 will be the Chinese tech giant’s first-ever smartphone to come with the Snapdragon 888 SoC.
None of the details has been confirmed through official sources, the new smartphone is supposed to feature a 6-inches QHD+ AMOLED display that will come with a 120Hz refresh rate. Recently, Mukul Sharma tweeted a photo of the upcoming smartphone that confirms that it will come with triple rear cameras with a 108 MP primary sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 5 MP telephoto shooter. As per the Geekbench listing, the phone runs on Android 11 and comes with 12 GB of RAM.
As per the design of the phone, the smartphone is likely to come with the hole-punch design of the Mi 10 series. As per the purported screen protector leaked earlier this week, the front screen could come with a curved display and thin bezels. Xiaomi is rumored to offer a 2,390mAh battery along with 55W charging support on the Mi 11. The phone is also likely to come bundled with a fast charging-supported charger.
The pricing could be somewhere between INR. 45,100 and INR 50,700 here in India, but we have to wait for the official announcement to know the exact price.
