Xiaomi’s latest smartphone, Mi 7 is to be released at the MWC 2018, and there have been many leaks surfacing online recently about the phone. The newest of the lot is showing off the back cover that’s glassy, and it as well features the dual camera setup.
The glass back is quite suggestive of boosting the speculation that Xiaomi Mi 7 will be equipped with wireless charging technology. Although, the brand is yet to confirm this officially. Given the speculation is true, it will be the first smartphone of the company with a wireless charging facility.
Xiaomi has also not made it official that the phone will be released at the MWC this year, but following the history of two years back, we see the light in terms of possibility. At the MWC 2016, Xiaomi launched the flagship phone Mi 5, succeeding the Mi 4.
Mi 7 will be packing the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC among the already confirmed parts. This was announced by the Chinese company at the Qualcomm Summit in Hawai last year.
Now, the predecessor Mi 6 did not release in many countries, including India. But, the recent developments like Xiaomi and other of its Chinese rivals are eyeing the Indian market for selling smartphones, makes it almost sure that the upcoming Mi device will come to the country.
Among other reports, Mi 7 may have 18:9 bezel-less display and a face authentication system. Also, the newest leak features a fingerprint sensor that’s rear-mounted. This diminishes the possibility of the phone having an under-the-display fingerprint scanner, which was talked about before.
Further specs, price, and other details are obviously unwrapped so far but we are keeping an eye on latest developments to serve you with the details before others. Stay tuned!
