Xiaomi Mi 7 was supposed to launch before Mi MIX 2S, but this was postponed due to reasons related to the on-screen fingerprint reader. In fact, loads of reports have been circulating regarding the handset, and finally, we have a probable date for its launch, May 23.
A new poster from Mi appeared on Weibo, showing off a stylish ‘7’. It also carries the 5-23 date in the caption below. Of course, things are not official yet, but the poster is pretty suggestive of the launch date. However, it doesn’t reveal anything about specs or design, or price.
According to the reports, Mi 7 will be packing a Snapdragon 845 SoC supported by at least 6GB of RAM. The internal memory may be either 64GB or 128GB. There is a chance that an 8GB+256GB variant of the smartphone will be available.
Several sources state that the phone will come up with a notch. The most talked about feature is true regarding the on-screen fingerprint scanner, but that is yet to be verified. Other specs include the design of a glass back cover and wireless charging support.
