Xiaomi Launches Their New Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro Today

One of the world’s tech giants, Xiaomi, unveiled their latest Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro today, and these two smartphones are packed with the latest features. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is the most perfect phone right now for photography enthusiasts and gamers. It sports a 24 MP Sony IMX576 sensor on the front, and it is powered by the Qualcomm SnapdragonTM 660 AIE SoC. It is way too ahead of the previous Mi 8 with the inclusion of the pressure-sensitive in-display fingerprint technology. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite and Mi 8 Pro has a new glass finishing which is inspired by Monet paintings.

The front-facing camera is of 24 megapixels. It is now easy to take breath-taking pictures in low lights with the Xiaomi Mi 8 lite which uses Super Pixel technology. Mi 8 comes with the Sony IMX363 as its main sensor, which also helps reduce noise. Moreover, this phone’s camera is paired with Xiaomi’s advanced AI features, beautifying the whole picture. Also, its display can light up in different colors to suit different scenarios when taking selfies and it can also illuminate the face for a better selfie.

Xiaomi has collaborated with Tencent Games for optimization purposes and the result of the collaboration is the Mi 8 Lite’s 660 SoC with the Qualcomm Artificial Intelligence Engine. Apart from these, Xiaomi has also worked with Epic Games to improve its performance, graphics and power efficiency of games. Its Sound feature has an upgraded version of the DSP algorithm, which improves the audio as a whole. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite will be available from 25 September in Aurora Blue, Sunset Gold, and Midnight Black and in three versions: 4GB+64GB for RMB 1399, 6GB+64GB for RMB 1699, and 6GB+128GB for RMB 1999.

Mi 8 ProXiaomi Mi 8 Pro has a pressure-sensitive in-display fingerprint that works only when a finger is pressed up against its sensor. This way it also saves a lot of energy. Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro will also come with a Transparent Titanium with the same transparent design as Mi 8 Explore Edition, is available from 21st September and will be available in Sunset Gold, Black and Transparent Titanium and in two versions 6Gb+128GB for RMB 3199 and 8GB+128GB for RMB 3599.
