Xiaomi announced the launch of Mi A1, the company’s first Android smartphone. They announced it in New Delhi at a global launch event. Xiaomi Mi A1 is the first Xiaomi device not running on MIUI.
Rather, Mi A1 runs a software experience designed by Google. This experience includes pure Android usage, and it updates in time with the OS updates. Xiaomi Mi A1 also packs the Google services built in.
As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone has a dual camera setup at the back. It has got a 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP telephoto lens. There is also a 50mm telephoto lens to capture the main image. The telephoto lens provides up to 2x optical zoom, but the device itself provides up to 10x digital zoom.

Xiaomi Mi A1 is priced at Rs. 14,999 or $234. It is available in 3 color variants – Rose Gold, Gold, and Black. It will be available on Mi.com and Flipkart from 12 noon, September 12. Offline retailers and Mi home stores will also have variants. Airtel users buying the Mi A1 will also receive 200 GB of 4G data.
Furthermore, it was announced at the launch that Mi A1 would have Android O within this year. It will also be one of the first devices to have Android P. And last but not least, the phone showcases a full metal unibody chassis. Follow this space to know more about the feedback and features!
