Xiaomi has launched the Mi Box 4K and Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 in India.
The Mi Box 4K could be seen as a rival to Amazon’s FireStick. Xiaomi’s new streaming box supports 4K video and HDR 10, Dolby Audio with DTS 2.0 digital. It comes equipped with Chromecast and Google Assistant making searching for any content, and navigating Mi Home devices easier.
The Mi Box 4K comes with a ‘data Saver’ feature that will let its user stream more content for fewer data. The ‘Cast to TV’ feature lets users stream content directly from their smartphones without any internet connection. It also comes with HDMI 2.0b, USB 2.0, Bluetooth v4.2, and digital out to connect external speakers.
The Mi Box 4K runs on a 64-bit 2GHz processor, Mali 450 GPU (750MHz), and comes with 3GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB eMMC storage. The design of the remote controller is almost the same as the ones featured with the Mi TVs. Aside from the Google Assistant, it also comes with a button that can trigger Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. The Mi Box 4K is priced at INR. 3,499.
As for the Mi True Wireless Earphones, it comes with a 14.2mm dynamic driver, and it sort of steals the show. Xiaomi is claiming that the earphones can offer up to 14 hours of battery life with multiple additional charges from the case.
A single earpiece can offer a battery life of up to 4 hours. Furthermore, it supports LHDC (Low Latency High Definition) audio codec, and a 90% environment noise reduction ability and dual microphones on each earbud. The earbuds are compatible not only with Android smartphones but also with Windows OS and iOS. The earbuds are priced at INR. 4,499. However, it will go on sale between 13th May and 17th May at INR. 3,999.
