Xiaomi launched the Mi Bunny Children Phone Watch 2C, the upgraded version of its Mimi Children Watch. It is basically a wristwatch for children with a stylish design, but it also bears a nano-SIM slot, which means that it can be used as a phone too!
The phone watch sports a low-gloss PMOLED circular display and weighs only 38.7 grams. Its food-grade silicone strap makes it comfortable to wear for kids. Xiao Xun Technology, the eco-chain company of Xiaomi, is the developer of the watch.
While it can be used as a phone, it has a limited storage capacity, enabling up to 10 numbers to save. There are two buttons, the upper one to establish a call, and the lower, one to end it.
A long press of either the upper or lower button will send a distress signal to the phone of the parents. The signal contains 7 seconds of ambient recording and the child’s location, which also suggests that the phone watch has GPS.
There is a feature of setting up a white calling list, and any number not on the list will be blocked. This ensures that the child does not have to receive a stranger’s phone call. That’s not all, as a multi-faceted safety fence will send a message to the parents when the child leaves the area.
Among other features are Wi-Fi, gravity sensors, and EPO. As for security, there is an AES 256-bit encryption, Xiaomi cloud data encryption, data transmission encryption, and other encryption measures to prevent data leakage.
