Xiaomi has launched an interesting laptop that appears to be a slimmed-down version of the popular 15.6-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook. The Mi Notebook Youth Edition is a powerful yet budget-friendly Intel Core i5 processor as well as a 2GB discreet mobile graphics card that powers the notebook computer.
At a launch event in China, along with many other products like the Xiaomi Mi Smart Alarm Clock With Xiao AI Assistant, one of the main highlights was the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition. It features a 15.6-inch full-HD display and is powered by an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 processor coupled with Nvidia GeForce MX110 graphics along with 2GB discrete memory and 8GB of RAM. 128GB of SSD is accompanied by 1TB of the hard drive.
There is an independent digital keyboard, and for sounds, the company has employed 3W high-power speakers for an immersive multimedia experience. To ensure the laptop stays cool during the extended sessions, Xiaomi has embedded a powerful dual-fan cooling system. The system not only has two fans to pump in more air into the laptop but also includes two separate air outlets for better air distribution. Connectivity options on the Youth Edition include an Ethernet port, HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack. For quick removal storage, the laptop features a three-in-one card reader as well.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Youth Edition carries a price tag of RMB 4,599 which is Rs. 48,900 in India. The Youth Edition appears to be a slightly toned-down version of the Mi notebook Pro available in two color variants: Black and White. The laptop will first launch in China, allowing sales within the next two weeks.
