Even though we can control more WiFi devices from our mobile, the vast majority of them still use infrared. Therefore, if we want to control them with the smartphone, it is necessary to use a device control that can act as a bridge between them, being this one of Xiaomi the ideal for it.
Xiaomi today began selling the Mi Universal Remote, which is designed to control various household appliances besides the Xiaomi Mijia ecosystem.
You can connect the device and configure it using the proprietary application Mi App, with the convenience of voice control. The Mi Universal Remote can translate the unstable signal into more right signals for home appliances. The remote control works in all directions, i.e., 360 degrees at a distance of up to 10 meters. Just ask the air conditioner to lower the temperature by a couple of degrees or give the TV a command to turn up the volume – Mi Universal Remote will do its job quickly.
At the connectivity level, the remote control uses WiFi (802.11n) to connect to the router; in turn, we can control it from the mobile. To operate it only needs to be connected to the power through the included micro USB cable.
It is priced at 79 Yuan, about Rs. 809, and will be on sale in China from tomorrow.
