It has been long since Xiaomi had started to branch out to developing and manufacturing devices that do not necessarily come under the one umbrella term of smartphones. Indeed, Xiaomi’s pledge has also been to bring high-quality gadgets to home to make living smarter yet affordable.
The crowdfunding that the Chinese tech giant has started is a voucher for the fulfillment of the pledge. A lot of interesting and unimaginable devices have come out of that crowdfund project much to everyone’s surprise. In this regard, Xiaomi is coming up with another launch of a new product, this time it is a new projector.
The latest projector from Xiaomi is called Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Edition 2 or Xiaomi Mijia Projector Lite 2. The new projector is by no means the first of its kind from the company. In fact, it will be the successor to the Mijia Projector Lite (Youth Edition) which was introduced earlier this year.
The tech giant has confirmed that the new version of the projector will be launched through a co-financing campaign in the official Xiaomi Mall on September 2. The main difference between the older model and the new Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Edition 2 will be the presence of support for the voice assistant XiaoAI which was absent from the first projector from Xiaomi.
The announcement of the new projector was followed by an image that shows the design of the Xiaomi Mijia Projector Youth Edition 2. The design is quite similar to the first one; however, the fabric material of the front panel will be replaced with plastic. Xiaomi has not revealed any specs of the projector.
As for the first Xiaomi Mijia Projector Lite 2, it features 500 ANSI lumens brightness, 1080p resolution, and HDR10 high dynamic range support, and in addition, the speaker also comes with built-in speakers. Let’s wait until its official launch to know more about it.
