We received reports that Xiaomi started developing its MIUI 10 and that the next release will be named Xiaomi MIUI X. Huang Longzhong, the VP of the MIUI software division, disclosed the news in a live Q & A session on Mi Live. He further added that Xiaomi MIUI X would be released later in 2018.
Although the developmental works have begun, it is not confirmed if the name Xiaomi MIUI X will be ultimately used. But it is said that this will be a major update version of Xiaomi’s signature ROM. Most interestingly, Huang in the session was observed to be quite interactive with the Mi fans, and he even expressed his openness in asking for opinions and feature requests.
The MIUI 9 Stable ROM was rolled out globally only 4 days ago, considering that it is clear that the Chinese brand is not wasting any time in terms of its ROM development. Presently, the MIUI 9 update can be found in over 27 Mi and Redmi devices, which is pretty much enough for the company to start moving ahead.
According to Huang, the developers are all set to push the MIUI 9 for the third-batch models as well. On the other hand, Huong Zhong, a representative of the company, hinted earlier that Xiaomi MIUI 10 would focus on artificial intelligence. This is probably the most exciting news for the Mi and AI fans!
We are keeping a tab on further proceedings of the matter and will serve you the next update as soon as we receive it. In the meantime, you can drop your thoughts in the comments below regarding your feature requests for Xiaomi MIUI 10 update.
