Xiaomi lovers would be elated to know that the currently most-popular mobile brand has unveiled its new sub-brand POCO with the mission to deliver performance that matters. Xiaomi’s Poco launches its first smartphone F1 in India, Today, with unbelievable features.
The phone price starts at Rs 20,999 for 6GB RAM and 64GB storage model while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version of Poco F1 is priced at Rs 23,999, and its 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model will cost Rs 28,999. Pocophone also announced Poco F1 Armoured edition, which is a premium variant, made of Kevlar aramid fiber. However, the Kevlar edition of Poco F1 is priced at Rs 29,999 and it will only be available in 8GB RAM option.

The device packs a top-notch Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor as seen on other flagship smartphones. The 10nm Snapdragon 845 processor comes coupled with liquid cooling technology and Adreno 630 GPU. “We weren’t satisfied with just Snapdragon 845 as we want the phone to run very fast all day long so we added LiquidCool technology to achieve that”, says Xiaomi when asked about how the phone is distinguished from the rest in the market. The battery is indeed a powerhouse of 4000mAh and the brand promises that the phone will last all day despite rigorous usage. To add, it has QuickCharge 3.0 support for fast-charging.
The smartphone has a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with 500nits brightness and there is a display notch but you can remove it in Settings. The infrared light ensures the Face Unlock feature works well even in the dark.
Lately, we are seeing several smartphones with some unique color options and form factors. However, the new POCO F1 comes with the polycarbonate unibody design. It comes in Steel Blue, Graphite Black, and Rosso Red color options.

Coming to the camera, the device gets a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 + 5-megapixel camera setup on the back with Dual Pixel technology, HDR, and real-time AI photography. On the front is a 20-megapixel camera with HDR. Thanks to the IR feature, you can click perfect selfies even in the dark.
The phone will feature a custom version of MIUI. There’s now an app drawer via the Poco Launcher, which also features a bottom-mounted search box. Apps can be automatically grouped into categories. You can even group apps by color (this is really cool, right?), categorize hidden app icons, and support third-party icon packs. The latest Android 9.0 Pie update will be available in the next few months.
Packing such perfect, desirable features at such a rate is unbelievable. Poco F1 is literally the cheapest phone to pack Snapdragon 845 in the whole wide world right now and we are bound to get excited. As it seems, it will be a huge threat to OnePlus 6 which packs more or less the same features costing almost 10k more. This is, arguably, the best you can get at this rate. So wait for a little while more as the phone will be made available on Flipkart and mi.com from 29th August onwards. We predict a huge success for this new offshoot of Xiaomi.
