Xiaomi has a series of devices lined up for 2018, and Redmi Note 5 is one of them. According to a new report by AKKet, Xiaomi’s new smartphone features a dual camera setup and a bezel-less display with a 19:8 aspect ratio. The phone is expected to be an improved version of the Redmi 5 Plus that fills more space on the front panel, ultimately presenting an immersive view.
Akker could gather images from all angles of the to-be-released Redmi Note 5 and information that states that its highlight is the dual main camera in the rear packing the background blur effect for portrait photos. The rear panel further features a fingerprint scanner right below the dual camera, as the images show.
The building of Xiaomi’s new smartphone is bestowed with an all-metal casing. It features a 5.99-inch IPS screen with 2160 x 1080 pixels providing a full High-Definition experience for the users. The upper and lower indents have been minimized to a core level, matching with the sides. The touch buttons are perfectly set on the thin bottom frame.
The ‘future novelty’ of Xiaomi is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocking at 2.0 GHz speed. It further packs an Adreno 506 graphics accelerator, 4GB RAM, and 32/64GB of internal memory. The front camera is of 5-megapixel, and its rear dual counterpart is of 12-megapixel.
Redmi Note 5 runs the OS of Android Oreo 8.0, incorporated with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9 right ‘out of the box.’ The smartphone will be powered by a 4000 mAh battery, and the phone will also have fast charging. The price for the 32GB variant is expected to be $170 or about 1,100 Chinese Yuan or around 10,000 rubles. The 64GB model is likely to have a tag of $200 or about 1,290 Yuan. The Chinese brand maybe will officially announce the phone in February to April.
