With the overwhelming success of Redmi Note 5 Pro in the Indian market, Xiaomi, in the latest update has revealed that the Chinese company is all set to unleash the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, the next in line model of its predecessor.
With much anticipation about its release, Xiaomi has left no stones unturned to make its launch a success. Going to the extent of recently sharing launch invitations with the media, the phone is about to be released in the Indian market on November 22, in about a week’s time from today.
The tag says it all- “The New Note Rises”. Though much was left in suspense as Xiaomi did not initially mention which phone was going to be launched. Xiaomi Global VP and Managing Director Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain has finally cleared the confusion in a tweet, where he confirmed that the Redmi Note 6 Pro is indeed set to be launched country-wide on November 22. With the company gearing up for its Indian market, it has even shared a countdown page, where smartphone enthusiasts and other techies can view the time left for its release.
With huge anticipation on its launch, the new dual SIM Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro packs an impressive 4000 mAh battery under its hood to ensure seamless functioning for up to 2 days. The phone runs on MIUI on top of Android and is powered by a 14nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, backed with an Adreno 509 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of inbuilt storage. This midrange beast is all set to take the Indian market by storm. The phone sports 4 cameras to ensure perfect photos and selfies. The rear is mounted with a 12MP+5MP camera with Dual Pixel autofocus, 1.4-micron pixels, and AI portrait 2.0. The front too sports a 20MP +2MP camera coupled with a 4-in-1 super pixel for effortless selfies. With a 19:9 aspect ratio, the phone has a 6.26- inch full-HD + IPS LCD full-screen panel, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Already out in the international market with a great launch event in Thailand back in September, Xiaomi released a single variant device, with 4 GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Not to be outdone by other smartphone manufacturers in the heavily competitive Indian Market, more variants of the device could be expected to surface over time. With the sale taking place at around 12 pm IST (noon) on November 23, the price could be expected to be roughly around 15,300, same as that of the launch price in Thailand that cost around THB 6,990.
